From artisanal to packaged ice cream, from cone to cup; today we are lucky enough to taste many varieties of flavours. Cream, chocolate, fruit, pistachio... the list could go on and on! But there is one flavour in particular that we cannot say no to:\u00a0<strong>stracciatella<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Stracciatella - the ice cream of Bergamo origins<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Not everyone knows this, but stracciatella-flavoured ice cream has<strong> Bergamo origins.\u00a0<\/strong>In the 1950s,\u00a0<strong>Enrico Panattoni<\/strong>, a hawker from Lucca, together with his wife Oriana, originally from Pistoia, decided to move to <strong>Bergamo\u00a0<\/strong>to expand their business activities. The two began to dedicate themselves <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">catering and baking in one of the city's most famous restaurants: <strong>The Marianne<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Panattoni was an expert in the production of <strong>castagnaccio<\/strong>, a dessert typical of its areas of origin. His aim was to find a combination <strong>between Bergamo and Tuscan dishes<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Success came in 1953 when Panattoni had an idea. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Customers at his restaurant used to ask for as a dish <strong>stracciatella<\/strong>Roman-style soup with beaten eggs. Tired of the monotony of that dish, Panattoni decided to repropose it in a sweet version: <strong>fiordilatte ice cream<\/strong> with small slivers of dark chocolate. A real treat for the palate!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> This is how one of the favourite ice creams of Italians and the world came into being. <strong>Bergamo<\/strong>proud of this primacy, is its cradle. <strong>The Panattoni family<\/strong> still holds the recipe for stracciatella as one of its most precious treasures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The ice-cream flavour <a href=\"\/en\/?p=13506\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stracciatella<\/a><\/strong>whether artisanal or packaged, can be found anywhere in the world. Over time, master ice-cream makers have come up with different variations such as one with mint chocolate chunks, but no dice.
